What personal data are processed by us?

The use of socialhousing.wien is voluntary. When making use of its services, you have the option to refuse cookies employed for statistical purposes.

The term “personal data” refers to all information related to an identified or identifiable individual. During your use of the platform, further personal data will be processed by us in the following cases:

 

2.1   Whenever you visit our website

During your use of our website, the following information is obtained by us:

  • the date and time of every view of a page of our website,
  • the IP address (of your desktop, laptop, tablet and/or mobile device),
  • a unique identifier of your mobile device,
  • the name and version of your browser,
  • the browser type and settings (screen resolution, colour depth, time zone settings, browser extensions and plugins, fonts),
  • the operating system and
  • the website (URL) you have visited before accessing our website.

The above information is gathered by means of cookies. Whenever you visit our website, you agree to the use of cookies by clicking on a button. If you do not want us to gather and process the data mentioned above, you can change this by modifying your browser settings (see Clause 9 below).   • information regarding the matter about which you have contacted us (e. g. type of error, screenshot, severity of the error, date, etc.) as well as
  • other information communicated by you to us

For what purpose and on what legal basis do we process your personal data?

4.1 Purpose: Provision of online services  

  • The personal data specified in Item 2.1 are processed in order (1) to make this website accessible to you as well as to further improve and develop this website, (2) to be able to create usage statistics, (3) to be able to spot, prevent or analyse attacks directed at our website.
 
  • The personal data specified in Item 2.2 are processed in order to deal with and reply to your messages or inquiries.

4.2 Legal basis: Consent given by you (Art. 6 paragraph 1 (a) GDPR)

Your use of our website is voluntary. If you want to use the benefits offered by our web portal, you agree implicitly to the processing of your personal data within the meaning of Clause 2.

You have at all times the right to revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data by sending an email to post@wrw.wien.gv.at. The revocation of your consent shall not affect the legality of all data processing conducted on the basis of your prior consent up to the moment of your revocation of said consent.

Who gets access to my data?

For the purposes specified in Clause 4, we will communicate your personal data to IT service providers used by us.

We use processors who perform services on our behalf. These processors may use or disclose these data exclusively according to our instructions and inasmuch as this is necessary for performing services on our behalf or for compliance with legal provisions. We obligate these processors contractually to ensure the confidentiality and security of the personal data processed by them on our behalf. At the moment, we use the services of City of Vienna – Wiener Wohnen Kundenservice GmbH in 1110 Vienna, Medwedweg 14, Unit 5, the services of ACP Holding Österreich GmbH in 1120 Vienna, Wagenseilgasse 3, the services of Nessus GmbH in 1100 Vienna, Fernkorngasse 10, as well as the Computing Centre of the City of Vienna, operated by Municipal Department 01 – Information Technology (this is the ICT service provider of the City of Vienna) in 1220 Vienna, Stadlauer Strasse 56, the services of ARGE ViennaCall in 1020 Vienna, Vorgartenstrasse 206 C, composed of Vienna Communications Consulting Gmbh in 1020 Vienna, Vorgartenstrasse 206 C, and Call Now Telekommunikations Service Gmbh in 1030 Vienna, Erdbergstrasse 52-60, and Webhelp Austria GmbH in 1210 Vienna, Floridsdorfer Hauptstrasse 1.
All service providers listed above are domiciled in Austria.

How long will my personal data be stored?

After you have revoked your consent to the processing of your personal data, these personal data will be erased, unless there exists a legal obligation to retain such data (this obligation may e. g. result from corporate law, tax law, the Federal Fiscal Code, etc.) or the personal data are required for the conservation of evidence under regulations pertaining to statutory limitation periods.

We may store anonymised data for an indefinite period of time.

What are my data privacy rights?

Under current law, you are inter alia entitled to the following rights:

  • right to be informed: You have at all times the right to check which personal data related to you we have stored and to receive copies of these data,
  • right to erasure: After revoking your consent to process your personal data, you have the right to demand that we erase your personal data stored by us,
  • right of rectification/right of erasure: You have the right to demand the rectification, integration or erasure of your personal data if these data are incorrect or are/were processed in a manner not conforming to law,
  • right to restrict processing: In certain circumstances, you have the right to demand restriction of the processing of your personal data,
  • right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if this processing is not based on your prior consent,
  • right of data portability: You have the right to demand data portability.

 

Assertion of your rights: You may assert the rights enumerated above vis-à-vis the City of Vienna – Wiener Wohnen by contacting post@wrw.wien.gv.at as well as vis-à-vis the competent data protection authority. In Austria, the competent body is the Austrian Data Protection Authority domiciled in Wickenburggasse 8, 1080 Vienna.

What are cookies and which cookies do we use?

We use the following cookies:

  • session cookies: These are cookies that are stored temporarily and exclusively for the duration of your usage of our website (“session”). Most cookies on this website are session cookies.
  • permanent cookies: These are cookies that store information about visitors who access our website repeatedly. It is the purpose of these cookies to enable optimised user guidance through the website as well as the recognition of repeat visitors and the presentation of a highly attractive website and interesting contents for repeat users.

Please note that Wiener Wohnen is not responsible within the meaning of the GDPR for the processing of your personal data inasmuch as this processing may occur via your use of the plugin. The purpose and extent of data processing by Facebook as well as your related rights and setting options for the protection of your privacy are laid down in the Facebook data policy, which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

Please also note that Wiener Wohnen assumes no responsibility for cookies of third-party providers.
