EURHONET
Embracing developments and trends
In 2006, this international network of public and social housing companies was launched with the mission of supporting its members by providing solutions to the challenges of the European housing market without compromising the satisfaction of both clients and workers of the housing sector.
EURHONET is a network of 34 public and social housing companies from France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Austria. In all, these enterprises with their 13,000 employees administer 765,000 dwellings with more than 1.5 million tenants. Since 2018, Wiener Wohnen has been a co-opted member of the network with a seat but no voting rights.
Specialists in various fields meet regularly to exchange know-how in the context of several topic groups:
- Sustainable Construction
- Ageing
- Social Integration
- Digital Communications and Technology
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- EU Projects
It is the purpose of these groups to address the challenges of the housing sector in the member countries in a hands-on manner, share state-of-the-art findings, respond to new developments and steer trends. Wiener Wohnen deploys specialised staff members to the topic groups on Digital Communications and Technology as well as Social Integration. The Wiener Wohnen enterprise is represented in the EURHONET General Assembly by its Deputy Director Daniel Milovic-Braun.
In 2018, the social commitment undertaken by Wiener Wohnen with its “Case Management” system was awarded the CSR Bronze Medal in the “Local Social Sustainability” category.
