WOHNBERATUNG WIEN
One-Stop-Shop
In 2015, the City of Vienna’s housing-related services became even more customer-friendly. All the relevant facilities are located in and around the Guglgasse residential competence center. In addition to Wohnberatung Wien, which helps Viennese find a suitable apartment, MieterHilfe can also be found at the same address. The Wiener Wohnen Customer Service Center is also located a two-minute walk away.
Citizens are provided with information about all housing types at Wohnberatung Wien, e.g. subsidised rental or co-operative flats, subsidised owner-occupied or refurbished units, re-let dwellings or municipal flats.
Interested parties are not only comprehensively informed about the varied range of housing types available through the City of Vienna, but are also given help and support regarding financing and subsidy options. If required, housing counsellors assist throughout the entire process from finding a suitable dwelling and give tips on how to get to the home you want more quickly.
It is advisable to make an appointment by telephone before a consultation. Quite a few questions can often be clarified during these phonecalls. The online services are likewise excellent and enable persons looking for a flat even before starting their search for a new accommodation to find out whether they comply with the relevant prerequisites regarding age or applicable income limits and to obtain an overview of the available housing units of the City of Vienna.
The Wiener Wohn-Ticket can also be applied online. With this ticket, you can then enter the desired parameters on wohnberatung-wien.at and find the apartment of your choice. The available units are presented on this platform by means of photos, floor plans and a wealth of detailed information. If the client cannot find a suitable municipal flat, he or she may also browse through a list of subsidised dwellings, such as co-operative flats or SMART flats.
